Winamp Aac Encoder
Plays and encodes AAC/MP4 with internal plugins since version 5.0, also decodes aacPlus Shoutcast streams and other formats. The AAC (actually ADTS-AAC) encoding is provided by encaacplus.dll (Winamp 5.1 to 5.61) or encfhgaac.dll (Winamp 5.62 and up). If this is not detected in the Winamp plug-ins folder then only MP3 encoding is available. If you want to stream in mp3 or aac, you have to get your own encoders as they cannot be distributed by me.
You can get the latest lame_enc.dll for mp3 here and
the latest aac libFAAC.dll for Win32 here
Just unzip the archives and drop the files into the AltaCast directory.
Beginning with AltaCast 1.1, you will need the C++ 2010 runtime libraries to run AltaCast Gotomeeting free.
NOTE: AltaCast uses a third party Bass Sound Library that is not associated with this project in any way.

Winamp Aac Encoder Free
The RadioDJ Encoder software is CLOSED as it is a different project.
- Converting to AAC in Foobar with the Fraunhofer/Winamp encoder:
- 1. download the latest fhgaacenc (https://github.com/tmkk/fhgaacenc/downloads)
- 2. download the latest Winamp installer and extract it (with 7-zip or similar)
- 3. from Winamp, copy enc_fhgaac.dll, libmp4v2.dll and nsutil.dll to the same folder as the fhgaacenc files
- 4. in Foobar, setup a new encoder with fhgaacenc.exe, the extension m4a and desired parameters (for example: --vbr 4 --ignorelength - %d)
- notes:
- Instead of step 2-3 you can also just install Winamp.
